South Greenland

Experience the ultimate highlights of South Greenland and the Arctic nature. This tour will give you a glimpse of everyday life in the Arctic whilst taking you around the 'Golden Triangle' of South Greenland covering most aspects of Greenlandic history - including the area recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage status.

Qaqortoq

Qaqortoq is the biggest town in South Greenland with a population of just over 3000 people. Situated near the big lake "Storesøen" with rising mountains as a backdrop, Qaqortoq is where many students come to study, and therefore the town is full of life for most of the year. This is also where FIFA has decided to sponsor the only grass covered soccer field in Greenland. Old colony houses show the history of the town, while new big modern houses rise up along the cliff wall, all with splendid views over the open sea. A real town of contrasts.

Narsaq

Narsaq is a typical Greenlandic town with small wooden houses painted in bright colours on the shores of Narsaq Sound, where white icebergs are floating in the deep blue water. Narsaq has an interesting historical area around the old harbour where the little museum is also found. There are many walking possibilities e.g. to the Viking ruins at Dyrnæs and to points of great geological interest.

Narsarsuaq

UNESCO World Heritage sites from the Viking Age, fertile mountains with sheep farms, deep blue fjords with multi-coloured icebergs, calving glaciers - and everything within short range from your hotel.
Narsarsuaq offers the most varied excursion programme in Greenland: Iceberg and glacier cruises, hiking tours to the Inland Ice Cap, Viking ruins, tiny settlements and Greenlandic towns.
